Three teams from the RLCC competed in Waupaca at the Wisconsin State Seniors Spiel Janurary 23-25
What a weekend they had! The Stoik team of Dale Stoik, Dick Boyum, Kraig Smith and Bob Stanonik were the winners of the 5th event. The Anderson team of Larry Anderson, Wes Mohns, Bill Wiberg and Gary Schieffer won the 2nd event. The Sharp rink of Larry Sharp, Bill Kind, Greg Dahl and Don Drost were the big winners in the first event to win the State Championship and bring home the traveling trophy. What a thrill it was to have all three teams come out on top and what a testament that is to the great curling that we have in Rice Lake. Congratulations to all of the players.
We met with the state committee and threw our hat in for having the event back in Rice Lake in the future. We will have it here in 2014, it is a great event and a good money maker for the club
